Kingsway Christian School expansion design wins praise

A PRIVATE school received approval for a $14.35 million arts, media and resource centre.

Metro Outer Development Assessment Panel members unanimously agreed to conditionally approve Kingsway Christian College’s redevelopment plans on February 16.

The proposal, designed by EIW Architects, included demolition of existing single-storey buildings and construction of double-storey design technology, arts and media, resource centre and staff facilities.

A City of Wanneroo report said it represented expansion of the existing school by providing extra learning spaces in “landmark structures”.

Wanneroo Councillor Frank Cvitan moved the City’s recommendation to approve the plans, praising the design.
