A DECISION on a proposal to bring Coles to Currambine has been put off for three months to address design concerns.

City of Joondalup officers had recommended the Metro Outer Development Assessment Panel defer its decision on the $13.3 million proposal for a neighbourhood centre at 16 Sunlander Drive to enable the applicant to submit revised plans.

The Currambine Village Shopping Centre proposal for 6.27ha of the vacant site includes a “full line” Coles supermarket, liquor store and café, and 186 car parking bays to be accessed from the newly-created Silver Fern Avenue.

It was initially proposed that 111 of the cars bays would be under shade sails, but this has now been reduced to 54.
