WA dad fined for taking photos of himself pointing gun at daughter’s head while she held rifle

A 25-year-old West Australian father has been fined after he photographed himself pointing a shotgun at his daughter’s head while she held a rifle.

On April 1, Daniel John Prunster pleaded guilty in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court to failing to adequately store firearms, pointing a firearm at another person, failing to comply with firearm and ammunition storage requirements and possession of cannabis.

The court was told Prunster had a photograph on his mobile phone of himself pointing a shotgun at his 15-month-old daughter, who was also holding a rifle.

Prunster’s lawyer told the court his client was showing his daughter “the correct way to handle a rifle,” PerthNow reports.

Prunster had argued that his daughter had grabbed his rifle…
